Websites for small businesses, built, hosted and looked after.

WPTom (Web Pro Tom) designs and builds original websites for small businesses and takes care of them for a yearly fee. Developers can buy the same designs as ready-made templates and get clean, documented code.

The problem

Small businesses want a website that feels made for them, without page builders, agency invoices and technical worries. Developers want templates that don't look like every other template and are easy to customise and update.

Key results

Lighthouse 100 for performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO on every public page. Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation and screen-reader friendly components across the whole catalog.

What I built

Design
54 original, fully responsive designs, from a florist to a law firm, each with its own colour palette checked for WCAG AA contrast in light and dark mode.
Frontend
Component-based UI in Astro, React and Tailwind CSS with a shared design system, dark mode and motion that respects reduced-motion settings.
CMS
Content editing through headless CMS integrations (Keystatic, Sanity, Storyblok), so owners update texts and photos without code.
E-commerce
Stripe Checkout, licence management, upgrades and vouchers, plus a customer account and an admin dashboard in Next.js.
Developer tools
A command-line tool and 15 npm packages: install a template, add integrations, pull updates later.

02 Web app for apartment buildings

Lhůta

A web app that never forgets when the lift needs its inspection.

Lhůta helps Czech homeowners' associations keep track of the inspections the law requires: electrical, gas, lifts, lightning rods, chimneys. Find your building, see your calendar and get reminded in time.

The problem

Every building has a dozen mandatory inspections with different intervals, and the volunteer committee is liable when one slips. The deadlines usually live in someone's head or in a binder.

Key results

A mobile-first interface that feels like a native app, GDPR-compliant data handling and content pages written for SEO, all in one Next.js codebase with a CMS for the admin.

What I built

Data
Imports from public registers: 71 490 homeowners' associations matched to their building, with obligations derived from its equipment.
Search
Instant full-text search by company ID or address, with SEO-friendly pages for every building and town.
Notifications
Email reminders 60 and 14 days before each deadline, sent automatically and never twice.
Subscriptions
A paid plan with a report archive, alerts for the whole committee, tasks from defects and invoices with QR payment.
Directory
10 950 certified technicians with a verification badge that updates automatically from the official register.

KidCape

A personalised comic book where your child is the hero.

Parents upload a photo, pick a theme and an art style, and receive a 10-page comic book starring their child as a PDF by email. A complete product: upload, payment, AI generation, delivery and support.

The problem

Personalised gifts for kids are usually a name printed on a generic template. Parents want something that really looks like their child, made in minutes, with their photos treated safely.

Key results

An end-to-end AI product with real paying customers: from a single photo to a finished comic book in minutes, built for parents on phones and kid-safe by design.

What I built

Frontend
A playful, mobile-first Next.js site with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion: photo upload, 3 story worlds, 4 art styles and a preview of the result.
Backend
A TypeScript REST API with a SQL database, file storage and a durable multi-step workflow that retries each page on its own.
AI pipeline
Story writing and content moderation, then a cover and 9 illustrated pages that keep the child's likeness, assembled into a print-ready PDF.
Payments
Stripe Checkout with signed webhooks: nothing is generated until the payment is confirmed.
Privacy
Uploaded photos are deleted automatically within 24 hours, with user accounts, transactional emails and an admin dashboard.
